While officers (Dominique and Warren) were patrolling the streets they were informed by a civilian that a robbery had taken place in Steenkamp Street, Palmiet. They visited the premises and were met by Kleinmond SAPS on the premises. Kleinmond SAPS confirmed that the armed robbery took place at this given address.
The two officers went to Overhills to look for the 2 suspects, visiting the local shops to ask if there were two young males buying goods with debit cards. While conducting these visits Dominique spotted the two young males, and decided to approach them, the young men noticed they had been noticed and decided to try and make a run for it, Dominique was able to successfully apprehend one of the men, the other unfortunately was able to get away.
Kleinmond SAPS was dispatched, and successfully arrested the young man. Later that same night the Kleinmond SAPS successfully arrested the other young man.
