25 October 2019, a positive burglary in 14th Street. With a thorough inspection of the premises where an alarm was activated, our response officer found that the safety gate and door had been forced open and a diving suit and tools had been stolen.
Betty’s Bay suffered several burglaries this month. At one property a television was stolen in the early hours of the morning where the thieves came like thieves in the night, quite literally, quietly forcing open a wooden door and also removing a window at the same property.
At a property in Clarence Road, a window was removed but nothing was stolen. In Myrica Road, an upstairs window was forced open and a diving suit and tools were stolen. Finally, in Nivinea Road, a wooden door was forced open – exacting work it would seem, as the burglars only took a few food items to get their strength back up.
Pringle Bay had no incidents reported for the month.
