Incidents that occurred on Sunday 01 September 2019
On Sunday, in the early hours of the night, our control room despatched our response staff member on duty at the time, to a property in Central Road Pringle Bay. Upon his arrival at the premises, the staff member found that a window was broken and it was discovered that it was a positive break-in. The suspect got hurt in the process and some blood was found at the scene.
While the response staff member was at the property, he heard another alarm activation close by and patrolled the area and found a suspicious male in Gulley road. He stopped the individual and discovered that the man’s hand was bleeding. The Kleinmond Police were dispatched to conduct a proper investigation and the suspect was taken into police custody for further questioning.

Crime Stats for August 2019
For the month of August 2019, Kleinmond experienced no house burglaries and no incidents were reported to our control room or response staff.
In Betty’s Bay, a total of four house burglaries occurred during the month of August,
Streets that were affected:
Nivinea Road – where a window was forced open, but it is unknown whether anything was stolen at the property.
Myrica Road – where a wooden door was forced open and it was also unclear whether anything was stolen at the time.
Oxalis Road – a garage door’s lock was forcibly removed but nothing was stolen.
Plateau road – a second-floor window was forced open but nothing was stolen.
Only one house burglary was reported to our office in Pringle Bay, where thieves managed to enter the house through a sliding door on the upper section of the house in Barbara Road and managed to steal a TV. An incident occurred in Hangklip Road, where thieves managed to hold an owner of the property at knifepoint and stole various items.
Rooi – Els
Only one incident occurred in Rooi – Els, where thieves forced open a door of the property in Rocklands Road and managed to steal a TV.
