During the month of May, 2019, our crime stats showed a substantial increase in burglary in the Pringle Bay area since April – with six incidents occurring in May, one of which occurred while the house was still occupied.
The affected streets are as follows: two incidents in Vivian Road, one incident each in Stream Road, Bell Road South, Central Road, and Protea Road. During these incidents, criminals managed to steal two television sets, a laptop, a cell phone, a gas pistol and several alcoholic beverages. Fortunately, a number of these items were recovered.
During the month of May, 2019, Betty’s Bay was victim to two burglaries and one attempted burglary. These incidents occurred in the following areas: Disa Circle, where building tools and equipment were stolen; Clarence Drive, where a computer screen was stolen during the early hours of the morning; and Wallers Way, where an attempted burglary was reported to our office in Betty’s Bay.
In Kleinmond there were two incidents where our response staff were called out. The first was to Bob Laubscher Street where we found a door forced open, and later in the same week the response staff member on duty responded to a call in Main Road, where an open window was found with a medical health light having been stolen.
No Incidents were reported during the month of May 2019 in the Rooi-Els area.
